BidWell started when a founder with a career in software went back to renovation work. Running jobs again made the problem plain: too much of a contractor’s day goes to paperwork, chasing payments and retyping the same numbers. BidWell was built to take that work off the table, cut the overhead, and let the job move on its own.
One person or a few. No seats to administer, no modules you will never open.
Built by people who run jobs, not by a pitch deck. Our AI handles the back office: proven business practices are hard-coded into the engine, so you know what to send, when to follow up and what the client needs to sign without thinking about it.
Invoices, follow-ups, review asks, pipeline moves. Automation and efficiency are the pillars every new feature is measured against.
Set it up in an afternoon. If a screen needs a manual, it goes back to the shop.
More leads in, cleaner bids out, a portfolio that builds itself job by job, and sharper skills along the way.
I was 12 when I started as an apprentice to a general contractor, first watching, then carrying, then building. At home I built ramps and tree houses and helped my dad with whatever needed fixing. Building things with my hands has always been satisfying work.
I went a different way for a while: a business degree, then a career launching and scaling startups. The common thread was making processes efficient so companies saved money and avoided risk. Along the way I kept remodeling, for myself, for friends, for family.
When my wife and I settled our family in a small country town in North Texas, I went back to my roots and started a renovation business. I found the same gaps on both sides of the job. As a homeowner I've lost money to contractors who misrepresented themselves or did not know the work. As a contractor I know how easy it is to forget something when you are running on the fly, and how every hour off the job is costing you money.
BidWell is how I build now. More than 25 years of practical experience, lessons learned and wisdom handed down to me is written into the engine. This platform is designed so an honest contractor with the will to figure it out has the resources to deliver quality work, and a homeowner, including those doing it themselves, can make decisions without the guesswork and the extra trips to the store.
The first version was running on my own jobs within a day. The mission since has been to keep improving it for the contractors and homeowners getting their projects done every day.
Estimates, proposals, invoices, payments and the client portal, every day, on real jobs. App screens on this site show a sample company and a sample client. Both are fictitious.
BidWell is not live yet. Leave your details and we will email you when your trade and area open.
